Well Monitoring Field Technician

We are looking for a full-time Well Monitoring Field Technician in Grande Prairie to join our operation team. The candidate must reside in Grande Prairie metropolitan area. Relocation can be provided if necessary. As a field technician, your mission will be to ensure that our clients receive a superior level of support and will be required to travel out of GP as per call and accessible 24/7 during your shift days.
Key Responsibilities:
At shop:
- Inventory management in the shop such as equipment inspection and quality check, equipment maintenance, inventory count, and organizing tools in the shop.
- In case of equipment damage or low battery life, redressing the equipment including battery change, parts replacement, checking the equipment to see if it works, etc.
- Preparing the required paperwork for shop activities such as equipment inspection and test, parts replacement, inventory count, and reporting them to the Operation Manager.
- Constant communication with the Operation Manager is vitally important to make sure that he/she is always aware of the shop status.
- Responsible for shop cleanliness, security, and any other shop related activities.
At Field:
- Complete inspection of equipment and vehicle before leaving to and after each job.
- Safe and efficient installation, retrieval and troubleshoot of surface equipment on the field.
- Constant communication with the Operations Manager to report location, and departure and arrival time.
- Reporting any problem arising in the field to the Operation Manager.
- Having all necessary certifications and preparing paperwork as required.
- Communication with Well Operator and Frac Supervisor.
- Returning and cleaning the company truck once the equipment installed or retrieved.
Education/Experience:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have flexible hours to be accessible 24/7 while on shift
- Some experience in oil and gas field is preferred.
- Mechanically and technologically inclined (Preferred)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to drive long distances in remote areas
Must have certifications:
- First Aid & CPR
- H2S Alive
- WHMIS and TDG
- CSO
- Full Class 5 Driver’s License & Clean Drivers Abstract
Compensation: The compensation will be a combination of base salary and field trip income. Food package for each field trip will be provided.
